Q: I'm ready to start the college search and application process. What do I do?
A: Always start with your school's guidance or college counselor. They are your best resource to get you started. Then, you can set up a consultation with College Quest.
Q: Does College Quest replace my guidance counselor?
A: No. In fact, we want you to work as closely as you can with your school counselor. Chances are they have followed you throughout your high school years. Our role is to go deeper into the application process and give you tools to find the right college fit for you. In addition, we guide you through writing the essays, creating a resume and making your activities list.
Q: Can you prepare me for the SAT or ACT?
A: We pride ourselves in not doing it all. We specialize in the application process helping you to create a college list and craft an effective application package. We can recommend test prep programs and specialists, but that is not one of our services.
Q: Can you help me with financial aid?
A: We can assist you in identifying what forms to complete and finding sources for scholarships. We also give you information on what schools are more likely to offer you merit and need based aid. If you are looking for a financial aid specialist, we can recommend people who are experts in the financial aid process.
Q: What are your fees?
A: Our fees vary based on length and level of services. We are committed to making our services affordable to most students. We will work with you and your family to put together a package and pricing that fits your budget.
Q: Do you offer free services?
A: Yes! We have free workshops and other events. Check out our events calendar and register.

Dear Friends,
As a seasoned high school teacher with almost 30 years of experience, I have helped my students and even my own children navigate the college application process. In recent years, applying to college has become increasingly competitive and daunting. It's disheartening to see so many aspiring college students feeling overwhelmed and powerless. Many college coaching services focus on packaging students for just a handful of "elite" schools, leaving the majority of applicants feeling demoralized and at the mercy of a select few institutions. As an experienced educator and parent, I understand the challenges and frustrations that come with this process. That's why I started College Quest to take a different approach. I want to empower students by giving them control of the application process and helping them find the right fit for their unique needs and aspirations. With my guidance, navigating the college application process can be an enjoyable and rewarding learning experience.
